...so we go to the fresh food market nearly every day.

When you come on our boat, just tell us what you don't like or can't eat, and we'll plan a menu especially for you. Don't forget to mention how spicy you can take it...

We don't believe in cooking "tourist" food. We'd like to introduce you to the type of food we eat at home in the village...give it a try!

Tropical fruits

Most people are familiar with pineapples, watermelons, papayas and bananas. And they're delicious.

But there are so many other seasonal fruits that we enjoy, and we'd like you to taste.

Here are some of our favourites:

Thai sweets

They range from intensely sweet to more delicate, and the most common ingredients are all natural and readily available in Southern Thailand - coconut, sticky rice, palm sugar, fresh fruits and pandanus leaf.

Unfortunately for tourists, they often come wrapped up in a banana leaf, so finding out what's inside can be a linguistic challenge.
