We didn't manage to get many photos of Koh Bulon, because we spent most of our time chatting with the villagers here. Known as "Chow Lay" or Sea Gypsies, the locals have traditionally made a living from the sea. And, adept at fishing, boating and navigating, they still do.

The people of Koh Bulon have also built some simple bungalows for tourists to come and stay in their village, and there's a restaurant is serving fresh seafood cooked in their distinctive style.

We met this little girl (below) and her family sitting under a tree in the late afternoon. We were quite taken aback by their generosity and curiosity. They told us all about life on their island which has no roads, but a school, police station and, of course, a mobile phone tower. After tea and snacks, we left with a huge bag of mangoes from their tree. Come and meet them.
